It is usually the right option when:

  • the layout is driven by racking or shelving
  • the operation is primarily storage-focused
  • capacity needs to increase without expanding the building
  • picking, packing or stock movement must remain accessible
  • the upper floor and lower storage levels need to work as one system

If the site requires large open spans, heavier flexible-use areas or a layout not driven by storage, a structural mezzanine may be the better option.
